Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 13, 2026

Summary: Assignivo takes your privacy seriously. We collect only what we need, never sell your data, and give you full control over your information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, place an order, or contact us. This includes:

  • Account information: Your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash).
  • Order information: Assignment details, subject, formatting preferences, deadlines, and any special instructions you provide.
  • Payment information: Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit or debit card details on our servers.
  • Communications: Messages you send to our support team or to your assigned writer.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, browser type, device type, and IP address collected automatically for security and analytics purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Process and fulfil your orders
  • Assign qualified writers to your orders
  • Send order confirmations, updates, and delivery notifications
  • Respond to your enquiries and provide customer support
  • Improve our platform, services, and user experience
  • Detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorised activity
  • Comply with legal obligations

We will never use your personal information for any purpose not described in this policy without your explicit consent.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Writers: We share only the academic details of your order (subject, requirements, deadline) with the assigned writer — never your name, email, or payment details.
  • Payment processors: Stripe processes payments on our behalf and is subject to its own privacy policy.
  • Service providers: We may use trusted third-party services (e.g. email delivery, analytics) who are contractually bound to protect your data.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Assignivo, our users, or others.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@assignivo.com.

Order records may be retained for up to 3 years for legal and accounting purposes even after account deletion.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session (login state) and CSRF security tokens. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from logging in to your account.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

  • All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption)
  • Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we never store plain-text passwords
  • Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe (PCI DSS compliant)
  • CSRF tokens protect all form submissions
  • Access to the admin panel is role-restricted

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
  • Portability: Request your data in a portable format
  • Objection: Object to certain types of data processing

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@assignivo.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

Assignivo is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email. Continued use of our platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
